Originally from Athens, Alabama, Dr. Stokes completed his B.S. in Biological Sciences at the University of Alabama. He then attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and had the opportunity to complete his clinical rotations in Dothan. After medical school, he completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, Virginia, where he served as a Chief Resident. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Stokes enjoys University of Alabama athletics, hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with his wife, Cynthia, and daughter, Barbara Gayle.
