Dr. Calhoun earned his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, in 2012. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2015.
Dr. Calhoun and his wife grew up in Dothan. He enjoys helping patients maintain their health and caring for them when they become ill. He is committed to providing his patients with compassionate, individualized medical care.
John and his wife, Courtney, have four children. They are active members at First Presbyterian Church, and they help lead a medical student ministry to ACOM students. His hobbies include weightlifting and comic books.
