Kim is originally from Gordon, Alabama and graduated from Ashford Academy in 1987. She obtained her associate’s degree in nursing from Wallace Community College in 1989 and worked at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center as a RN for many years. She later furthered her education and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alabama with her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2010. She also obtained her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013 and began her career as a certified nurse practitioner. Kim joined Southern Clinic in May of 2016, working with Dr. Marien Tavarez.
Kim is a member of the Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner Association, the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She and her husband, Mark, have 3 children and 3 grandchildren currently. She is an avid Alabama football fan and enjoys watching football games and camping with her family.
